How to Enable Wi-Fi Calling with T-Mobile on ASUS Zenfone 9

Introduction
#

The ASUS Zenfone 9 and other versions of the ASUS Zenfone series have issues enabling and using Wi-Fi calling when using T-Mobile as their carrier.

Steps
#

To enable Wi-Fi calling, do the following:

  1. Open the Phone App; it works with ASUS or Google phone apps
  2. Navigate to the dialer, where you type phone numbers in your phone app
  3. Dial this number: *#*#3642623344#*# upon entering the last symbol the number will vanish
  4. Close your phone app
  5. Open settings and navigate to Network & Internet -> Call -> Wi-Fi calling
  6. Toggle the setting off and wait a few seconds before turning it back on
  7. You should now see a new icon appear in the status bar, which looks like a Wi-Fi symbol coming out of an old-style phone
  8. Done

You’ll have to repeat the steps in this workaround each time you reboot your phone.
